Privacy Policy for Ozzy.School teaching material

Last updated: 27 October 2026

This policy explains how Ozzy.School ApS handles personal data when schools use our online teaching material at material.ozzy.school, the login at login.ozzy.school and the Ozzy.games apps. Our website ozzy.school has its own privacy policy.

The short version

We never collect personal data about students. Students use the material through their teacher or school, without an account of their own. Most teachers log in through one of our partners, and then we receive only an anonymous ID. If a teacher logs in directly with us at login.ozzy.school, we store the teacher's login details and which school they belong to, and nothing more than that.

Who is responsible

Ozzy.School ApS, CVR 41444266, 2920 Charlottenlund, Denmark, is the data controller. You can reach us at info@ozzy.school or +45 2683 5827.

Logging in through a partner

Most teachers log in to Ozzy.School through one of our partners. You then log in with the partner, and the partner sends us only an anonymous ID, never your name, email address or user name. We cannot tell who you are from it, and we don't store anything else about you. The partner's own terms and privacy policy apply to your account and login with them.

Teacher accounts at login.ozzy.school

This section only applies if you log in directly with us at login.ozzy.school, with your email address and a password. For each of these accounts we store:

  • the teacher's email address
  • the password, stored only in encrypted (hashed) form that nobody can read
  • the preferred language
  • the school's name and number
  • when the account logged in (an access log), so we can see that the subscription is used and protect it against misuse

When you reset your password or create a new one, we send a one-time code to your email address. The code expires after a short time.

We use this information to give your school the access it has paid for, to help you if you can't log in, and to make sure logins aren't shared outside the school, as described in our terms and conditions. The legal basis is the agreement with your school (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in protecting the service (Article 6(1)(f)).

Cookies

When you log in, we set one cookie, ozzy-session, which keeps you logged in for up to 8 hours. We also remember your chosen language in a cookie. Both are strictly necessary for the service and are not used for tracking or advertising.

Usage statistics

We use our own installation of Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool, to see which chapters, films, quizzes and games are used. It does not use cookies and does not record who you are. The statistics are anonymous and only used to improve the material.

Who processes data for us

The teaching material and the login service are hosted by Zone Media OÜ (Zone.eu) in the EU. Emails such as one-time codes are sent through Simply.com in Denmark. The teaching content is stored in Sanity, which contains no personal data. We do not sell or share personal data with anyone else, and the material contains no advertising and no links to other websites.

How long we keep data

We keep teacher accounts for as long as the school has a subscription. When a subscription ends and is not renewed, we delete the school's teacher accounts and access log, apart from what we must keep for bookkeeping.

Security

We protect the data with encrypted connections (HTTPS), encrypted passwords and access limited to the people at Ozzy.School who need it.

Your rights

You have the right to see the personal data we hold about you, and to have it corrected or deleted. You may also object to our use of it or ask us to restrict it. Your school may also ask us to delete its teachers' accounts at any time. Write to info@ozzy.school and we will reply within a month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk) or to the data protection authority in your own country.

Changes

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
